Funerals

Death is as real as life, but much harder to accept and deal with. I can help you prepare for, and support you through the ceremony in which you say farewell to your loved one.

I will liaise with you (and your funeral director if you have one) to ensure that the tribute paid to your loved one reflects the essence of that person and how you want them to be remembered. I will plan the ceremony with you so that you are fully aware of what will happen. I will conduct the service on your behalf and give you all the help I can.

You may decide that you and/or members of your family wish to conduct the service, but are struggling to put your feelings into words. Let me help.

We can meet and I will gather information giving me a picture of the person you have lost. We will discuss all the things that you remember about them, and filter their story into a fitting tribute for you and your family to deliver to those who knew your loved one.

Scattering of Ashes

This ceremony is effectively a continuation of the farewell to your loved one.
You will have decided where you wish to do this, which will no doubt be a place with meaning for the one you have lost, and will go on to be a very special place for you.
Although it is usually a shorter service, it can still include poetry and readings, if you wish.

We will discuss what you would like to happen and where, so that this ceremony represents something of great meaning, and becomes a source of comfort for you and your family.

Memorial Service

You may have had a simple funeral and now wish to celebrate the life and achievements of the one you have lost. There may be a greater number of people in a venue of your choice. This will be less formal than a funeral, but will still need to be organised in such a way that it flows and people’s contributions can be properly heard.

I will be your MC and will choreograph the event for you, so that the service enables your loved one to shine again.
